Probation Officer training
The recruitment process for Trainee Probation Officers in Thames Valley starts in mid-March each year. A national advert appears in The Guardian and shortlisting takes place in April for selection at assessment centres in May/June. Offers are made in July/August for commencement at the beginning of October. The closing date for applications is usually Mid-April each year.
We want to attract people with a wide skills base and professionalism, and from different backgrounds. Applications are therefore encouraged from all sectors of the community.
Trainee Probation Officers appointed to Thames Valley Probation will be located in different parts of the Thames Valley throughout the training and must be able to travel.
A
salary range of £17,191 - £18,406 is paid while training.
Salary on qualifying currently starts at £26,229.
