Accredited Programmes. The Thames Valley Programmes Team delivers programmes that have been demonstrated to reduce re-offending.
Bridge to Employment (B2E) formerly ETE and Basic Skills. B2E Key Workers are employed throughout the Thames Valley to help offenders with literacy, numeracy and to find a job or career.
Drug Treatment and Testing Orders Team. Our specialist team has the Area's statutory responsibility under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 for the delivery of Drug Testing and Treatment Orders.
Substance Misuse Unit. Thames Valley has a dedicated team to work with offenders with drug or alcohol misuse.
Housing Advisers. Thames Valley has a Housing Advice Advocacy and Placement service (HAAP) to help offenders with accommodation difficulties.
Victim Liaison Unit - a service for liaison with victims of serious crime.
Public protection, through our joint statutory responsibility (with police) for Multi-Agency Public Protection Panels (MAPPPs). We supervise high risk offenders jointly with the police and other statutory agencies.
In addition probation staff work with Youth Offending Teams across Thames Valley.
Youth Offending Teams -YOTs
This is a separate service from the National Probation Service. It deals with young offenders.
