Thames Valley Probation

We work with people who have committed different types of offences such as burglary, violence, car crime and sex offences.

We provide probation supervision, offending behaviour programmes and specialist support services, which aim to stop people committing further offences.

Community Payback

Offenders subject to an Unpaid Work Requirement carry out almost 300,00 hours of free work for Thames Valley communities each year. We call the work Community Payback. If you have a community project which may benefit from our help, please look at our Community Payback page here. We work to

	Provide information to Thames Valley's courts to help sentencing decisions

	Safely supervise people serving their sentence in the community

	Ensure people complete their community sentences and take them back to court if they don't

	Prevent people from committing more crimes

	Prepare prisoners for release

	Supervise prisoners who are released into the community on licence

	Liaise with victims of serious crime.
